Join us for this exciting two-day screen printing session where you will learn how to screen print using photo emulsion and your own design. Screen printing (also known as silk- screening) is the process in which ink is pushed through a mesh screen that is mounted in a frame and onto a porous surface like paper or fabric. In this two-day workshop, you will learn the basics of emulsion screen printing, from printing positives to exposing screens, and finally pulling a small edition of your own custom prints. Screen printing can be adapted to a multitude of purposes and is a great skill for any artist or creative to have at their disposal. When you sign up, start thinking of ideas and we’ll send more details about how to compose your design as the workshop approaches. This class is great for beginner printmakers and those who need a refresher on the basics of using emulsion. The atmosphere will be collaborative and supportive, so come as you are and take some new skills with you!
