Materials, tools, and sewing machines are available but you are welcomed to bring your own portable sewing machine for comfort. There will be coloring and design activities for children.
About the Instructor:
Doll making is a craft that had been present throughout Andrea Lizalde’s family history and once she had children she found the joy of making toys and dolls for them alongside her artistic practice of painting and illustration. She is interested in making dolls that have different shades of skin colors and a variety of genders because diversity is part of her family’s values. She uses natural and recycled materials that are machine washable and soft with no plastics or small accessories so they are safe for children.
