October Artists Salon: How do artists get paid?

Postponed to October 24th, 2019
5:30-7pm

Announcement: The salon has been postponed this month to the 24th of October due to a time conflict with the SLANT STEP FORWARD FILM SCREENING & STUDENT SPOTLIGHT. Please join Verge from 6:30-7:30 pm for a special spotlight of the collaborative Slant Step-inspired works made by students in the class of professors Summer Ventis at CSUS and Brooke Inman at VCU. And stay for the film screening of The Great Blondino.

The Artist’s Salon is a group open to all artists and art enthusiasts where we discuss one or various themes, artists, or topics in contemporary art. It takes place every third thursday of the month at Axis Gallery between 5:30 and 7pm. It is facilitated by Verge Center for the Arts Education Manager, who acts as a moderator. Verge provides refreshments but everyone is welcomed to bring snacks.

Our topics are chosen democratically during the end of the session, attendees can bring their own materials and ideas in relationship to the topic or read our shared reference materials prior to discussion. In the month of October we are discussing the topic of how artists and arts administrators get paid.
