Welcome Steven Cranston! Steven Cranston is an enrolled member of the Tlingit and Haida Tribes of Alaska. His acrylic paintings and screen-printed serigraphs and wood-carved panels explore Alaska Native Formline design through a contemporary lens. His work draws inspiration from the traditional
ovoid and u-shape forms that have carried cultural meaning for generations. Through his art, Steven hopes to inspire other Native artists to continue their ancestors’ work and keep it alive. His work reflects a dialogue between past and present—where cultural heritage, contemporary materials, and individual expression intersect. Steven has 20 plus years of screen-printing practice and is the proprietor of NorCal Screen Print Supply.
