This unique two evening workshop will combine monoprinting and collage. Monoprinting is a simple printmaking technique for creating one of a kind prints. The printing process offers a great approach for experimenting with color, surface texture, and gesture. The first evening we’ll explore two different methods of monoprinting; glass or plexiglass plate printing and gelli printing. Both methods are easy to learn yet their flexibility allows more advanced art makers to stretch and experiment. The second evening, we’ll use our prints other papers, ephemera, and a variety of acrylic mediums to create rich, detailed collage works.
