If you need time outside of our typical clay lab hours to work on your clay projects, you can now book time in our classroom to use our wheels, work at a handbuilding station or glaze your work! We are excited to open up our ceramic studio to the Sacramento community for more time during the week. Drop-in hours will be available Wednesdays-Fridays from 11-4, and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4. For weekday hours, you must book at least 24 hours in advance. Booking your slot can be done either over the phone or via email to education@vergecontemporary.org. For same day appointments on the weekends, please give us a call at (916) 448-2985. Please note: availability is based on the amount of equipment we have available and hours/days are subject to change based on our class schedule.
What’s Included:
- Access to wheel or handbuilding station (depending on what is rented)
- Clay tools
- Glazes
- Firings
- Storage of in-progress work
- Clay can be purchased for $1 per pound – 10lbs of clay complimentary with 3 hours booked
When:
- W-F 11-4 pm (must book at least 24 hours in advance)
- Sat/Sun 1-4 pm
*All subject to change if there’s a class in session
Firing Schedule:
- All drop-in work will be fired with regular clay lab work
- 1 glaze, 1 bisque per week
Storage rules will be the same as clay lab and will utilize the same shelves
