Having a strong digital portfolio is important for visual artists. It can be challenging to photograph your artwork at home, especially during a pandemic when resources are limited. In this two hour class, you will learn simple ways to set up a makeshift studio at home using a smartphone and things that are readily available. In fact, you may already have all the materials you need to make some professional looking photos! You will learn how to choose the appropriate lights, how to modify the light you are using and strategies for lighting both 2D and 3D works during a live demonstration. In addition, you will learn how to make a simple photo tent for photographing objects. Muzi will also provide recommendations on useful camera and editing apps, as well as budget-friendly equipment.

This class will be held online. You will receive a link to join the class on Zoom the day before the class begins. If you have not used Zoom before, don’t worry, it’s easy and we’re here to help! Please log in 5-10 minutes before the class begins to troubleshoot any technical difficulties.
