About the Instructor
Andrea is an artist and illustrator working in Sacramento, CA, where she was born and raised. Andrea has devoted my life to a pursuit of beauty and create without regard for superficial boundaries. Her creative practice brings together drawing, photography, beadwork, sewing, cooking, and encompasses any action that is formed by the hands. She has known she was an artist since she was a small child, where she used to spend hours outside, sewing leaves together using pine needles and ripping apart cardboard into thin strips, forming them into notebooks to draw in. Andrea’s main focus since 2023 is her car series, where she uses colored pencil, ink, and watercolor to draw whimsical landscapes for your eyes to dance in. In Spring, Winter, and Fall she teaches the joy of art to high school students, while in the Summer she hunkers down and gets to work finishing her drawings, jewelry, and sewing projects.
