CLAY CAMP

This three-day camp is a hands-on introduction to hand-building and wheel throwing, two of the most foundational techniques in ceramics. You’ll spend time learning hand-building, working with clay to construct your own pieces using techniques like pinch, coil, and slab, while also picking up proper tool use and how to bring your work to life with vibrant under glaze color. From there you’ll move to the wheel, getting an intro to throwing and centering clay, with plenty of practice time to get comfortable and start finding your own rhythm.
We’ll fire all the pieces you make, and you’ll get an email once they’re ready for pickup. You’ll leave camp with a solid foundation in ceramics, ready to build on what you’ve learned to continue to work at home, in our open clay lab, or in future classes.

WHEN:  December 28th, 29th and 30th
