Mercy Hawkins

Mercy Hawkins is an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Northern California. Her work seeks to reveal a new language as it relates to the sensorium of the living body in and as the natural world. She works within a craft-based manipulation of varied materials combined with customary collage and sculptural practices. Hawkins received her BA from CSU Sacramento, 2018 and MFA from UC Davis, 2021. She was Graduate Fellow in residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts, 2021/22, and is featured in New American Paintings #153, MFA Annual. She currently teaches at CSUS and UC Davis.
