Myrtle Press
Myrtle Press printmaking studio is located on the alley at Verge Center for the Arts. Myrtle Press was created in 2012 by four printmakers: Lisa Camhi, Emily Wilson, Kyle Doka, and Dixie Laws. Myrtle Press was founded as an answer to the questions: Where can one print after college, and how can we promote printmaking in Sacramento?
Myrtle Press is a resource for printmaking in Sacramento; we offer workshops, classes, and community events, and provide opportunities for the community to learn about and explore printmaking. Monthly and daily memberships are available to artists and printmakers interested in a collaborative printmaking work space. Open lab hours are Saturdays from 12 – 4, come by and check out the space!
To learn more about our facility, sign up for our newsletter at our website, myrtlepress.com, or on Facebook. Our classes are listed on the Verge website, vergecontemporary.org/classes/.
Printmaking forms include relief, intaglio, monotype, silk screen and solar plate, and lithography.
