In this one day workshop, you will make your very own pair of handmade leather sandals! No experience is necessary. Your instructor, Stace Fulwiler, is there to help you through the entire process. We will be using rubber and foam soles (about 3/8″ thickness) and leather uppers. Stace will bring all the tools, supplies and many different colors of leather to choose from.

You will have the choice of making a toe ring sandal, a sandal that buckles at the ankle, or a two / three-strap slide sandal. Many modifications are possible within these ‘beginners’ designs! The strap width, colors, and strap placement is all up to you. View photos of past workshops and student work here.

Over the course of the day, you will learn how to make sandals that fit your feet.  In the process of making your sandals, you will also learn basic leather-working techniques and become familiar with shoe-making tools. You will be able to walk away wearing your newly-made sandals that you can enjoy for years to come!  Bring a friend or family member to spend a day making something both beautiful and utilitarian.
