Sac Open Studios Launch Party + KOKO’s Love Opening

We’re kicking off the 13th Annual Sac Open Studios with a free Launch Party at our gallery and studio project Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6 to 9 pm with local eats and drinks, kids activities, live art and music. Meet participating Sac Open Studios artists and view 100+ artworks installed salon-style in Verge’s classroom.

This event will also mark the opening of our fall exhibition, KOKO’S LOVE: The Technicolor Unfairy Tale Ball by Yoshie Sakai. This multimedia,​ ​expansive exhibition​ ​explores the ongoing saga of one Japanese American family with their overbearing patriarch, Hiroshi, a liquor store owner in South Los Angeles, and his annoying insistence on having a male heir.
