This 2 hour workshop will provide you with information on how to assemble a competitive portfolio for regional and international artists calls. The instructor will lead you through some basic guidelines for approaching galleries, researching open calls, and reviewing grant opportunities, as well as some tips on photographing your work and what to include your artists statement.
About the Instructor:
This workshop is being let by Liv Moe, Verge Center for the Arts’ own Executive Director. Through her work at Verge Moe has curated a number of exhibitions working with a range of artists and curators including Daniel Johnston, Stephen Kaltenbach, Emily Prince, Paddy Johnson, Doug Biggert, and Robert Nickas. Verge’s exhibitions have been featured in national publications which include Art in America,Vice, Art F City, and numerous local publications. In addition to her work at Verge, Moe has an active studio practice, having shown at venues which include the Richard L Nelson Fine Art Collection, the Sonoma Art Center, the Center for Contemporary Art Sacramento, the California Museum, and the Crocker Art Museum.
