SOLD OUT

Learn the basics of printing with the Risograph, a machine that looks like a photocopier and works like a screen printer. During this introductory workshop, we will examine the ins and outs of the machine and discuss what types of projects translate well to riso printing. We will also cover file prep, paper selection, design for multiple colors, troubleshooting common problems, and an overview of online Risograph resources. Each participant will have the opportunity to print an edition of 25 two-color prints and take home a short guide to Risograph printing. Bring a hard copy of an image or photo (designed in black and white or converted to grayscale) up to 8 1/2 x 11in in size. We will design the second layer of color during class.

We will be printing with a Risograph ME9450. Available ink colors are Black, Medium Blue, Fluorescent Pink and Yellow.
