Explore the beauty of watercolor! This course will introduce the beginning painter to the ins and outs of working with transparent material. More advanced painters are also welcome to come get back to basics. We will begin with fundamental studies of value, and explore the low-pressure concept of drawing with paint, the challenges of negative painting and blending, and create a color wheel. The course will culminate with a ‘personal style’ still life, with an emphasis on composition and color.

Anyone age 16 and over is welcome! Some drawing experience is recommended but not required.
