Esther Marie Hall

Esther Marie Hall is a Filipino American multidisciplinary artist with a primary focus on fiber and textile work. Her work combines her Filipino background and Southern heritage through native Filipino weaving techniques and traditional American craft such as embroidery, quilting, and crocheting. Hall uses her practice as a means of communicating issues within the sociopolitical climate with references to spirituality, California’s landscape, and repurposing textiles due to the over abundance of textile waste.
Hall attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Francisco where her interest in textiles as an art form began. She has worked with organizations such as Facebook, Planned Parenthood, and the Latino Center of Arts and Culture. Esther has shown work nationally and has been a part of the Filipino American Artist Directory since 2019.
